Come Ride with Us:
NEYC has two different kinds of teams: Race teams (grades 5-12) and Development teams (grades K-5). Our teams are open to all student-athletes who are willing to be part of a team environment.
Race teams offer an experience for student-athletes to learn about themselves and their community, using the bike and racing as tools for growth. We encourage all student-athletes to participate in at least one race every season racing because it is a great way to be part of our vibrant and welcoming community; however, racing is not required to be part of a race team.
Development teams help introduce mountain biking fundamentals so student-athletes can learn how to ride and enjoy the sport safely. Development teams focus on fun and skill development, and have no racing expectations, though we do offer at least one “Development team race” each season.

Helpful Things to Know:
- Teams are generally formed around riding "regions", so some teams may be present in multiple zip codes and thus multiple states.
- Student-athletes may only register for the NEYC team assigned to their zip code.
- If unsure, please utilize our Team Finder Tool to search for the exact NEYC team available in your zip code.
- If you fall within a region with no currently established team, you may be eligible to ride for NOMADs, the at-large NEYC team. See NOMADS below for contact info.
- Use the "EMAIL TEAM” Button to Get in Touch with the Team in Your Region.
